FOXO4-DRI is an experimental senolytic peptide studied for its interaction with the FOXO4-p53 signalling pathway, a cellular mechanism associated with the survival of senescent cells.
Cellular senescence occurs when cells permanently stop dividing but remain metabolically active. These cells can accumulate within tissues over time, making the mechanisms controlling their survival and removal an important area of ageing and longevity research.
FOXO4-DRI has been developed as a research tool designed to interfere with the interaction between FOXO4 and p53.
